Profound! I remember back when I used to be addicted to League of Legends… not because I loved the game, per se (I mean, it had its moments, sure, but on a grander level, I didn’t play because I was passionate about the game itself), but because I had to do something to pass the time, and not think. I’d say for me, more than avoiding boredom, it was to avoid thinking that drove me to spend hours playing and accomplish nothing at the end of the day.
