I understand what you're saying, and I'm with you, for real. But n the other hand, I also understand that the world is imperfect. if it takes identity over ideas to reach norm at some point in future, then I'm all for it. While discussing the show though, I'd take your advice and refrain from using "representation" as the backdrop for my affections toward the show. I liked it purely because I could relate to some of the things the MC is going through (especially the part where she muses over how she is not American enough but also not Indian enough, hit a cord with me.)
